Broken
He wears a mask
So you cannot see
The fragmented soul within
Abandoned, neglected, damaged.
She wears a veil
Of dark, black hair.
A shield against the vulnerability
Vast within her.
Shattered pieces
Fall to the floor
Disjointed yet united
The glass ceiling
They cannot cross
Afraid of what they cannot see
Of floating away.
They bide their time to
Open doors
And release the secrets from the well
Bloody tears refrained.
Broken, no more.
