Michael Nava, 52, a 1981 graduate of Stanford Law School, “is in the running” for a seat on the California 1st District Court of Appeal based in San Francisco, the web site Law.com reported May 31. Noting that Nava is “also Catholic and Latino,” Law.com writer Mike McKee described Nava as “a can't-miss diversity pick.”
