I was pleasantly suprised to come across an article just now by one of my Spanish Harlem paisan and one very talented, soulful dude, Willie Perdomo: www.nypost.com who it seems also has a new book out soon, Why They Call Me Clemente.
Frankly, the piece loses its authority because of the author. Were he truthful and honest about his own behavior towards African-Americans, particularly African-American women, I think he might have either kept his mouth shut.
That should say he might have either kept his mouth shut or said more about the ways that he, too, has engaged in divisive and destructive behavior towards African-Americans.
